A collection of bamboos is to be found around the building known as “The Gardener’s Shed”. Two species are particularly worthy of note here, namely Phyllostachys nigra in the shape of a forest of black bamboo which is one of the oldest in Spain, and Bambusa vulgaris, both of which are around 150 years old. Other species included in the collection are Otatea, Pseudosasa, Hibanobambusa, Indocalamus, Shibataea, Semiarundinaria and Pleioblastus.
