The huge area occupied by La Concepcion means that the visitor can choose from a variety of different routes depending on the time available. Your visit should be carefully planned, as it can take over six hours to see all of the various gardens and collections. So, if you have never been here before, we recommend that you start your tour in the historical garden, where, the "Jewels of La Concepcion" route will enable you to view its most important features. This trip will take approximately one and a half hours to complete. You should then move on to the "Themed Gardens", which are home to collections of a wide variety of different plants. A stroll amongst the palm trees, bamboos, aquatic plants and vines, to name but a few, will take around two hours.
Next, we should return to the historical garden along the "Around the World in 80 Trees" route, where species from all five continents accompanied by bushes, creepers and herbaceous plants bear witness to the floral diversity to which our planet is home.
Back in the historical garden, we can enjoy the spectacular views of said location afforded by the "Viewpoint Route", a tour of less than an hour’s duration. We must now choose between returning to the historical garden or continuing across the Mediterranean hills by taking the "Forest Route", whose one-hour tour offers the chance to see both indigenous flora and spectacular views of the "Montes de Malaga" Natural Park.
Finally, we should round off our tour by visiting the lake area, the collection of cacti and succulents and the aquatic plants to be found near the entrance.
